Thread 0002: How to bring TSK into everyday life
entry 0001:
KTS, p. xix: Alive to the possibilities of Time, Space, and Knowledge, we can invite the truth of what presents itself to address us with a voice that has long gone unheard, but has never fallen silent. At first we will engage this invitation through language and linear presentations. Later, it may be in discourse with others committed to the same inquiry and actively participating in the ongoing invitation that we hear what has gone unheard. Eventually, we can learn to hear this voice in the sounds that resonate throughout our world. If we are mindful, we can learn to recognize it even in the cacophony of voices that wells up from moment to moment, naming, shaping, judging, and defining conventional reality.
entry 0002:
TSK, p. 298: by appreciating and actively expressing the presence of Being as it applies to our psychological environment and to our own bodies, we can gradually see how to extend this relevance to encompass our immediate external environment, our friends and acquaintances. This process expands and accelerates of its own accord, becoming ever more comprehensive while also becoming ever more sensitive to Being's abiding value-which is not 'attained', developed, or circumscribed.
entry 0003:
KTS, pp. 95-6: . . . it may seem that we draw near to something hidden. For the projects of lower-level time, what must be hidden is the open nature of 'to be'. Yet the being of 'to be' does not depend on exclusion; for Great Time, the nature of 'to be' can manifest intimacy with all that is. There is nothing to be hidden, just as there is nothing to be revealed.
entry 0004:
KTS, p. 393-4: . We do not need to cultivate 'inspiring' thoughts or 'special experiences': The path to knowledge depends on greater appreciation for the conventional realm.
entry 0005:
KTS, p. 446: Through Great Knowledge, expression expresses itself. Knowledge is not presented as the antidote to confusion; nor is it applied to 'make sense' of things; nor does it resolve conflict or work toward solutions. Free from purpose or intention, the Body of Knowledge freely commands Time and Space.
Whether we recognize these possibilities as meaningful in terms of ordinary knowledge may not matter. Though the unity of the 'field' might be understood as the central core of what is presented here, there is no one body that is unified: no 'one place' or 'one way', no 'one who knows'. Knowledge is simply Knowledge. We can participate, we can own, we can use, we can play-for all doing and all being is the 'aliveness' of the Body of Knowledge.
entry 0006:
DTS, p. 185: . . . new forms of knowledge are open to any of us. We do not have to change the course of our lives or devote ourselves single-mindedly to spiritual or philosophical or psychological pursuits. Actively involved in the busy round of daily life, applying the constructs of our normal rational cognition, engaged in the ordinary, we can discover an unformed knowledge that is directly available.
