Thread 0011: TSK as a comprehensive vision
Are the TSK books (which comprise a vehicle for the TSK vision, and are not equated with the TSK vision itself--see Thread 0006) comprehensive, encompassing the entire domain of human experience? [Steve Randall, 8/24/98]
entry 0001:
The following quotes point to the comprehensiveness of the TSK books:
"Space, "time," and "knowledge" have resonances that offer a comprehensive perspective on what we ordinarily call "reality," but can also facilitate infinite personal growth, which includes going beyond particular theories, views, or experiences-you never get bogged down or tied to some view of how or what things are. (p. 5, "Time, Space, and Knowledge: Interview with Tarthang Tulku on his New Vision." Gesar, 4, No. 3 (1977))
. . . a vision which would integrate and unite all aspects of being . . . . Space and Time themselves have now presented such a vision . . . . (p. xxxiv, TSK)
All scientific, religious, and psychological disciplines are confronting space and time, too--what else, at bottom, is there for them to explore? (p. xxvi, DOT)
You have everything you need in this 'step', Time, Space, and Knowledge. There is no truth or realization that's in principle beyond your reach. (p. xxiv, DOT)
It puts you in touch with facets of reality that are truly central and wholesome . . . . Space, time and knowledge can ground you wherever you may find yourself, and can always point the way to new insight . . . . (p. 9, "Time, Space, and Knowledge: Interview with Tarthang Tulku on his New Vision." Gesar, 4, No. 3 (1977))
