KTS, p. 82: Appreciation for second-level time can also shed new light on the phenomena investigated in the field of parapsychology. While research into the paranormal has raised important issues, investigators have usually accepted the basic structure of 'outsiders' and 'bystanders', devoting their efforts to establishing the first-level 'reality' of what they are investigating.
With conventional structures of time and space in place, difficulties with predeterminism on the one hand and acausality on the other remain unsolved. The result has been an impasse that requires a new understanding of time, space, and knowledge to break through.

KTS, p. 439: . . . second-level analysis or experience may lead to a confusion of its own, in which the structures of first-level reality are rejected and an obsession or fascination with 'altered realities', pervasive dynamics and mechanics, or global perspectives takes hold. The 'no path' of Great Knowledge can easily be forgotten.
